How does the maths on this work then? I have made at least two shifts every year since say 1990 or there abouts which means that I should have around 30 now - allowing for natural wastage say 1 shift every three years (5); losing them at the same rate (5) and throwing out anything ...

On Monday night I went to Grays in Essex for a screening of our film Bata-ville (made very near to Grays) whilst waiting for the film to finish (I've seen it too many times to sit through it again!) I looked round the museum that's also in the Thameside Theatre complex. As well as a Land Army uniform and some nice leaflets about killing rats "they are doing Hitler's work" they have this wonderful 3D model (from the 30's I heard) depicting Elizabeth's 1588 visit to Tilbury. This photo shows just a small section of the model, all carefully crafted from paper, card and string ... the docks at Tilbury look pretty different these days.

It certainly feels like spring here today ... The start of the 40's year. I have 'new' (to me) shoes to show off and Kentwell have new piglets!
